EDERA “was” an innovative project that integrates sustainability, technology, and design to address the problem of urban heat islands and improve the energy efficiency of buildings. It is an IoT green wall module with advanced sensors for monitoring CO₂, providing real-time environmental data.
Activities performed:
- Business Planning of the project.
- Team coordination and management of the project phases.
- Presentation of the project in national competitive contexts.

Key Insight:
The modus operandi of universities and some accelerators in Italy is old: business plans, pitches, ROI, etc. It’s not suitable for startups, at least in the embryonic phase, there’s little emphasis on “getting out of the buildings” and “customer discovery”, just lean startup slang aimed to win some startup competition and that’s it, nothing about build a sustainable and scalable business. Thanks to Edera, I understood from my mistakes why this is the wrong way to do startup.
